The first step would be to prepare yourself for the beach trip. It might take a long time on the beach or it might just take a couple of minutes, there is really no telling so always be prepared.
Decide your baby’s clothing appropriately
You need to appropriately dress your baby. Dress them in loose and light clothes but make sure that it covers their full body to protect them from the sun and the sand rashes.
Apply sunscreen on your baby
A beach is a perfect place to get sunburned so make sure you apply loads of sunscreen on your baby and get a hat for them to protect from the sun’s rays.
Create a shallow pit for your baby
Another way to ensure your baby’s safety on a beach is to dig a shallow pit for your baby and then cover it with a sheet and place your baby in that pit. This will ensure that they won’t wander off unknowingly and won’t be able to eat the sand too.
Keep an eye on them
Make sure you always keep an eye out on your baby and ensure that they don’t do something which could be harmful to them like eating sand or putting it in their eyes.
Use a baby carrier instead of the stroller
One of the most important things to keep in mind is that a stroller is a very bad idea on a beach as it would get stuck quite often, so it is important to use a baby carrier instead.
Get swim diapers
Another great idea for a beach day would be to make sure that you dress your baby in swim diapers so that you don’t have to change it while your baby enjoys in the water.

Use a little cornstarch
Sprinkling a little cornstarch in your baby’s diaper and toes will ensure that the sand doesn’t stick to his/her body and they don’t get rashes due to the same.
Get a big blanket
This is a must as you would need a large area for your baby to crawl in and while the beach would provide your baby with more than enough area, it is still better to get a blanket to keep your baby away from too much sand.
Go a little late in the evening
One of the most important tip when going to the beach with your baby is to take your baby during the evening when sunlight is not as direct as in the afternoon and you don’t have to worry about your baby getting sunburned.
